Not even a week released, Google’s Nexus One reaps a lot of criticism. Start from poor 3G connectivity, poor touch screen, until the lack of consumers support.

The latest research results also add the critic. The finding indicated that Google Nexus One production costs was only USD 174 per item, compare to the sell price which is in the range of USD 529.

Google officially launched a mobile phone that called Nexus One on January 5, 2010. The phone is collaboration with HTC mobile phone vendors.

Here are the Nexus One phone specs:

  • Operating system using the Google Android Mobile Technology Platform 2.1 (Eclair).
  • Qualcomm processor used QSD 8250 1 GHz. RAM 512MB.
  • 512MB of internal memory. Slot has 4GB Micro SD Memory Card (Upgrade maximum to 32 GB).
  • 1400 mAh battery.
  • Touch screen of 3.7-inch (diagonal) widescreen WVGA AMOLED with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
  • Can use the Trackball to its menu.

Apple Tablet launching is continuously incessantly rumored. This time the rumors about this cool gadget appears again as they plans to make a product announcement in January 2010.

Apple, as quoted by Reuters on Thursday (24/12/2009), has rented space at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, United States. It is said that on January 26, 2010 Apple will announce a ‘product’ in there.

This review is all about the newly launched Sony Vaio W Netbook. Sony finally plunged also into the netbook market. Japanese electronics giant has just launched Sony Vaio W series, which is a line of netbook 10-inch sizes. As quoted from CNet site, Sony Netbook is reinforced with Intel Atom N280 processor, 1 GB RAM, Windows XP, and 160 GB hard disk, which is the average specification for a netbook.

What makes this netbook a bit different from other netbooks, it has a 1366×768 resolution screen, WiFi 802.11n connection, and of course, the price is more ‘premium’ than the netbook class.

X-Men Origin Review

I love X-Men series, so this month I will review this X-Men Origin movie. Wolverine is the story of Wolverine life’s journey as a mutant before joining the X-Men, exactly 20 years before the formation of X-Men.

The film begins with the childhood story of Logan “Wolverine” (Hugh Jackman) and his brother Victor Creed “Sabretooth” (Liev Schreiber) who began to turn into mutant. The story then continues as they mature which is both Wolverine and Sabretooth. His meeting with William Stryker (Danny Huston) led Weapon-X project finally made the two brothers are mutually hostile. The film is peppered with romance and definitely Wolverine scene “claw-scratches” was to be found through the story.

x86 architecture licensing dispute between the Intel with AMD still continues to this day because each company interprets the contents of the license agreement individually.

Bruce Sewell, senior VP and General Council for Intel Corporation, said Intel’s x86 architecture license can not be granted Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to a third party that is GlobalFoundries Incorporated) without the permission of the company as the license is only granted to AMD according to the agreement of both parties in 2001.
